Hi, I’m kristin loberg.
I am a professional writer and book collaborator who specializes in transforming experts’ knowledge and ideas into engaging, reader-friendly works for general audiences. More than a dozen of my projects have spent weeks on the bestseller lists and have been translated into multiple languages.
My mission is to change individuals’ lives—and the world—for the better through the expertise, insights, and hard-won wisdom of other people. Subject areas of interest include:
health/wellness/fitness/diet
science/medicine/nature
business, personal finance/education
self-help/popular psychology
narrative/general nonfiction.
I love building a book’s architecture, developing compelling messages, crafting the perfect voice that reflects the author, and formulating programs when appropriate with engaging hooks and widespread appeal. My expert knowledge of the publishing industry allows me to take the frustration out of busy authors’ hands when it comes to getting their works well executed from the kernel of an idea to polished product.
I am a graduate of Cornell University (Go Big Red!) and live in my native Los Angeles with my husband and two sons. I am a member of the Author’s Guild and PEN, and am an avid runner and veteran spinning instructor. Once in a while, I test my endurance in local triathlons and wear my teacher’s hat to lead an intensive writing workshop at UCLA where I dispense the secrets to professionals in other industries for penning winning book proposals.
